Pinnacle Psychological Services is a specialist clinic based in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, offering psychological assessments and therapeutic support for adolescents and adults. Dr. Alan McInerney is an accredited Chartered Psychologist with the British Psychological Society and an accredited Integrative Psychotherapist with the Irish
Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy. He holds a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology and Psychotherapy by Professional Studies from Middlesex University.

Alan has extensive experience working with Forensic Psychological Services in Dublin, where he carried out clinical and forensic risk assessments with both adults
and adolescents. This role gave him a strong understanding of complex psychological needs and highlighted the importance of providing care that is safe,
effective, and supportive. He also has considerable experience working with neurodivergent individuals, offering tailored support that recognises both their
challenges and strengths.

At Pinnacle Psychological Services in Greystones, Co. Wicklow, Alan works with couples, adolescents, and adults. He provides both psychological assessments and
therapy, using an integrative approach to adapt his work to the unique needs of each client or family. Alan is dedicated to creating a compassionate and professional
environment where clients feel supported in navigating difficulties, strengthening family relationships, building resilience, and working towards lasting positive change

Assessment fees for a full, comprehensive, psychological assessment are in the region of €2,500, depending on the nature and complexity of the assessment.
You will receive a clear outline of the full assessment process and all associated costs before confirming your appointment.

Health Insurance Reimbursement

As a Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) – registered practice, many clients may be eligible for partial reimbursement through their private health insurance provider. We provide comprehensive receipts that include:
- PSI registration number
- Full breakdown of services provided
- Clinic and psychologist credentials
We strongly encourage clients to contact their insurer in advance to confirm their individual entitlements.

Tax Relief Available

Psychological assessments may qualify for 20% tax relief under the Med 1 Medical Expenses scheme. Receipts can be submitted via the Revenue MyAccount portal.

Booking & Payment Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your consultation appointment.
The payments for assessments are then broken down into two equal payments - the first payment is due prior to the first assessment appointment.
The remaining payment is due 48 hours prior to the day of your feedback session.
